Set up in 1996, the winery is a blend of tradition and innovation. It is located in the heart of the little Santa Eugénia village where houses are mostly made of granite and people are still very attached to their rural lifestyle (not the young, who tend to move to cities like Vila Real, Porto and Lisbon).
In this winery, the ancient stone vats, for traditional vinification, have been carefully preserved and combined with state-of-the-art technology in order to obtain products of excellence.
The wine ages in selected wooden barrels made of Portuguese oak, French and also American oak. The winery includes thirty 2.500 litre vats. Its total vinification capacity is 500.000 litres.
